If we can't learn and build from the pass to make a better future, how safe is the future? If we can't rely on the newest vehicles to get us here to there without some life threatening event happening, why bother? Now it is Japan Airline sitting at the fore front of this may-lay that will feel this publicity the most while everyone else run to cover their P's and Q's.
Could this be a design flaw? Will the makers of the plane and those interested parties make any effort to see if this incident is isolated or will money and politics get in the way of that question?
Now that issue has made the national new syndicates, how will the F.A.A. handle it beyond the press releases? Another slap on the hand or something more serious? In any event, it will be interesting to see just how low this story sink from memory until the next episode.
